Gut Healthy Chocolate Brownie Recipe

GUT HEALTHY CHOCOLATE BROWNIE RECIPE:

This recipe has nothing added to it but pure ingredients that will support your gut healing journey. It is vegan, gluten free and dairy free.

Ingredients:

1 cup baked sweet potato (pureed)

1/2 cup almond or any other nut butter

1/4 cup cacao or coco powder

1/4 cup maple syrup or equivalent sweetener of your choice

pinch of sea or Himalayan salt (handful of optional dark chocolate chip or chunks for the top)

Instructions:

1) In a large mixing bowl, add sweet potato purée, maple syrup, almond butter, cacao powder, salt and stir to combine.

2) Transfer batter to your greased or parchment-lined baking dish and spread into an even layer about an inch or less thick. You can use a spoon or rubber spatula to spread evenly.

3) Gently tap the pan few times on the counter.

4) Bake on the center rack (at 350 F / 176 C) for 28-32 minutes. The brownie edges should appear slightly dry and a toothpick inserted into the center should come out mostly clean.

5) Remove from oven and let cool for 15-30 minutes. 6) Slice once cooled.
